What You Will Need For A Homemade Pest Repellent:

 

  • Peppermint herbs
  • Cloves of garlic
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Biodegradable Liquid Soap
  • Food processor
  • Sprayer

 

Step 1. Process Peppermint And Garlic

Put 3 cups of mint leaves and a cup of garlic cloves into a food processor to chop up the ingredients into bits. Once they're chopped up, put the mixture into a cooking pot with water.

Step 2. Boil Processed Ingredients

Add more water to the cooking pot, then add a couple of teaspoons of cayenne. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it sit overnight.

Step 3. Strain Liquid Concoction

Strain the liquid into a large container to take out bits and pieces of garlic and mint leaves.

Step 4. Add Biodegradable Liquid Soap

Lastly, add a couple of squirts of biodegradable liquid soap to the mixture.

Step 5. Apply Garlic And Mint Pest Repellent Spray

You can use your homemade natural pest repellent for your vegetables and any other plants bugged by pests by directly spraying the leaves since it's safe for your plants.

What You Will Need For A DIY Pest Repellent:

 

  • Chili powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Black pepper
  • Peppermint oil
  • Plastic Cup
  • Cheesecloth
  • Sprayer
  • Basin or plastic container
  • Hot water in a kettle

Step 1. Mix Spice Ingredients

What you need for this easy homemade pest repellent could be available in your very kitchen or even in your garden. Take an eight of a teaspoon of each spice ingredient and pour them into a plastic cup.

Step 2. Prepare Mixture To Steep

Lay a cheesecloth flat on a table and pour the mixture of spice ingredient over the surface. Wrap the cheesecloth up and secure with a tie, then put it in a basin or plastic container.

Step 3. Steeping Mixture

Pour hot water over the cheesecloth which is basically making a tea from the ingredients. Let the tea bag steep for a few minutes or until the liquid cools down.

Step 4. Transfer Liquid To A Sprayer

Take out the cheesecloth from the basin and pour the tea into a bottle or a sprayer

Step 5: Adding Last Ingredients

Lastly, pour a drop or two or peppermint oil into the liquid or tea in your sprayer. Give your bottle a shake to mix things up and you're ready to apply your homemade natural pest repellent!
